Jerry Angelo Brooks, who uses the stage name J. B. Smoove, is an American actor, comedian, writer, and voice actor. He started his career in 1995 on Def Comedy Jam and later became a writer and performer for Saturday Night Live. Smoove is also known for his role as Leon Black in season six of Curb Your Enthusiasm, where he became a fan favorite. As a voice actor, he has portrayed characters such as Bebop, Frank the Plant, and Anton Zeck.
